Creative inspiration: it can happen unexpectedly and often with unpredictable consequences. For me this piece, which is clearly a self portrait, tries to illustrate the delight I feel when my imagination soars… and suddenly an idea presents itself. And I hope it demonstrates that our inspirations have the ability to physically impact our lives.
Don’t look now but your computer has been squinting at you all morning and your Blackberry is snickering behind your back. The ubiquitous nature of technology today fascinates us and engages us. But there is a price to pay: we are free and yet simultaneously ensnared…. and we feel a sense of unease over the future we are creating.
Dimensions: 27 h x 20 w x 5 1/2 d
With this piece I try to demonstrate trust, faith and hope…. or our lack thereof… mistrust, broken faith, and hopelessness.
