This box was created as a gift for Kim, a family friend, inspired by the commemoration of her father, John V. Krutilla.  John Krutilla had a deep understanding of our natural environment and spent his life thinking, writing  and advocating for it.  John's love of fly-fishing in particular played a role in the design of this piece.
The box itself was designed so that Kim could store two types of things that reminded her of her father.
 Items for public view can be displayed in the glass portion; and more personal items can be hidden in the drawers.
